GM Fairfax Stamping and Assembly Plant will hosted students associated with SITE (Social Impact Technology and Engineering) for Global Manufacturing Day.

40 11th and 12th grade students toured the plant to kick off Global Manufacturing Day on Thursday, September 15th, 2016.

SITE Founder, Mark Irvin, Appointed
Vice-Chair Of Kansas City's Smart City Advisory Board

On August 7, 2015, Kansas City Mayor, Sly James, announced 11 appointees to the Smart City Advisory Board, an organization focused on successful implementation of the Smart + Connected city framework in Kansas City.

Among those appointed, SITE founder, Mark Irvin, was named as Vice Chair of the board, to work along side Tom Gerend, Executive Director of the Kansas City Street Car Authority, who was appointed Chair.
